product designer for high-stakes digital systems

Designing high-risk digital products where errors carry real consequences. I focus on critical paths, reducing failure points and stabilizing user outcomes through clear, system-level thinking.

Hands-on with modern AI tools to prototype and ship production-ready work while collaborating with engineering teams.

Full stack

Design and build in one flow. Decisions move straight into working output.

Built to scale

Interfaces that reduce decision fatigue and increase adoption.

Hub AI

Every answer arrives holding its source. Then we taught it to read the page you are standing on.

Hub88's partners integrate APIs and read GGR tables for a living, and their fastest route to an answer was a support ticket. I designed the AI assistant that ships inside three of their platforms: every answer carries the documentation it came from, and in v2 it reads the data page you are already on and turns it into charts you can question. Two releases, ten months.

Pay.io

Four actions were 78% of every session. I made those four the architecture.

Crypto wallets were built for traders, not businesses moving real money. Session recordings showed four actions made up 78% of every operator session, so I made those four the architecture, flattened navigation from four levels to two, and designed every transaction state to be explicit. No silent failures anywhere.

Inktrail

One workspace. Docs, canvas, AI, and publishing, no more tab switching.

Every knowledge worker I interviewed had the same problem. Their work lived across five different apps. I designed a full AI-native workspace from zero, with a document editor, visual canvas, meeting transcription, and one-click publishing all on a single continuous surface, then collaborated with engineers to ship it. The AI generates real, editable files. Not chat messages you copy-paste somewhere else.

HumanManager

The brief asked for five screens. I audited the product and argued for a system instead.

The client expected new screens. The blocker was inconsistent components. I rebuilt the design system first, then applied it across every enterprise workflow. The product that already worked finally looked like it did.

Quit App

Onboarding stopped being a tutorial and became a commitment device.

You don't get a second first session. I designed the onboarding, commitment device, and first-48-hour experience as one connected system, built to hold someone mid-craving, end-to-end across iOS and Android.

CoinHaven

Designed the trust signals before designing a single marketplace feature.

Everyone was building marketplaces. Nobody was building trust. I designed and shipped the full product, from provenance systems and creator verification down to the marketplace flows. Built to earn belief in a market drowning in noise.

Recommendations

what people i've worked with say.

Joseph was a member of my global UX design team for 18 months. During that time, I was grateful for the thoughtfulness he brought to every design challenge and his positive attitude which continuously elevated the results of the cross-functional team he worked with. He brought both a consumer and business-savvy mindset to his design decisions, and is committed to leveraging design systems to drive consistent and efficient digital experiences.
